How to install Autographa in Mac

Installing Autographa Desktop App

Autographa Desktop is a powerful translation tool that helps you create and manage your translation projects efficiently. This guide will walk you through the installation process step by step.

Download Autographa

When you visit autographa.io, you'll see the homepage with download options for different operating systems:

  1. Visit autographa.io in your web browser
  2. Choose your operating system:
    • Click "Download Autographa for Mac" for macOS
    • For beta versions, click "Download Autographa Beta"
  3. Wait for the download to begin

Install the Application

  1. Locate the downloaded Autographa.dmg file
  2. Double-click the installer to begin installation
  3. Drag the Autographa app to the Applications folder

Enable App Permissions

Due to macOS security features, you'll need to perform an additional step:

  1. Open Terminal (you can find it using Spotlight Search - press Cmd + Space and type "Terminal")
  2. Copy and paste the following command:
   xattr -c /Applications/Autographa.app

⁠ 3. Press Enter to execute the command 4. This command removes quarantine attributes and allows the app to run

Launch Autographa

  1. Once the above steps are complete, go to the Applications folder
  2. Right-click on Autographa app and select "Open"
  3. If you see a security warning, click "Open" to confirm
  4. Wait for the application to start

Sign In to Your Account

  1. When Autographa opens, you'll see the login screen
  2. Enter your account credentials
  3. Click "Sign In"

Access Your Projects

After signing in, you'll see your dashboard where all your active translation projects are displayed. If you have any existing projects, they will be automatically synchronized and visible here.

Note: If this is your first time using Autographa, you might not see any projects yet. You can start a new project by clicking the "New Project" button.
